Minister Mutafchiev Presented the Results from the Examination of GD “Civil Aviation Administration” Carried out by EASA

Minister Mutafchiev presented the results from the examination of GD "Civil Aviation Administration" carried out by EASA in the period November 27, 2006 - December 1, 2006. He informed that the report reflects the effort of the Bulgarian side to eliminate the critical notes from the last visit. "The only concern in the report is in regard of the preparedness of the air operators to enforce the European standards. The main trouble of EASA is that the Bulgarian experts would issue very fast licenses to the Bulgarian air carriers, but their real condition could not reply completely to the European standards. Therefore GD "CAA" must strengthen its resources, experience and competency, in order to finish the process of equalization of the Bulgarian aviation with the European safety requirements till January1, 2007. At the present moment one more team has been formed, to audit the aviation operators according to the Regulation 2042/2003", declared Minister Mutafchiev. |
