Minister Mutafchiev Will Visit USA

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev will visit Washington D.C. for the period February 6-10, 2008. He will take part in the 56th National Prayer Breakfast on the invitation of Senator Mike Enzi and Senator Ken Salazar.

The National Prayer Breakfast is an international forum, organized by the White House and the Congress of the USA. It takes place annually, on the first Thursday of January and the leadership alternates each year between the House and the Senate. This year the event will be leaded by the Senate.

The National Prayer Breakfast is one of the most significant happenings in the political life of the United States of America. The goal of the traditional meeting is to share the spirit of friendship and with prayer of gratitude to consolidate the will and the aspiration for elimination of the differences between the nations.

The breakfast will be attended traditionally by the President of the United States and members of the Government, the Congress, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, the high administration and the US Army. Diplomats, Businessmen, political, religious, scientific, economic and state leaders from 160 countries are invited to participate in the forum.

In the mainframe of the Breakfast Minister Mutafchiev will meet congressmen and senators From USA. He will also have the possibility to carry out series of informal meetings.
