Manfred Bös: “Bulgaria has taken the right path”

 Bulgaria has taken the right path. This declared the Vice-President of the German Association for Freight Forwarding and logistics Manfred Bös during the conference "Transport Logistics, Intermodal Transport and Infrastructure". It took place today in Inter Expo Center under the patronage of the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev.

In the very beginning of the event the transport minister said that the transport logistics is complex process of freight management - to begin with the transportation operation planning, followed by the control of its accomplishment. The complex character of the logistics and its impact on the whole optimization of the transport streams makes it leading factor for the increase of the competitiveness of the European Economy.

The transport logistics is activity connected first of all with the business. The roll of the institutions is to create appropriate conditions for its development. Thus it became one of the priorities of the Ministry of Transport. This priority is connected with serious engagements from side of the government, in order to create better conditions for growth, expansion on the European market and protection of the positions already conquered.

We will together contribute to the fully integration of the Bulgarian transport system in the transport system of the other European countries. We also will give an adequate answer to the growing interest of the international companies towards the logistics market in our country, said also the minister.

The Vice-President of the German Association for Freight Forwarding and Logistics Manfred Bös informed that the logistics and the infrastructure development are taken as the third most important economic branch in Europe. In the last years many of the German logistics companies turn their business to Bulgaria because of the strategic position of the country. The creation of good business relations between the two countries leads to augmentation of the merchandise exchange, said Manfred Bös.

Other reports were connected with the development of the logistics, intermodality and infrastructure in our country.

The Deputy Minister of Transport Vesela Gospodinova presented the report "Intermodality improvement of Passengers and Freights Transportation - Main Priority in OP "Transport", emphasizing on the development of the intermodal transport and logistics, intermodality and infrastructure in our country. Also presented were the main goals and priorities of OP "Transport" as well as the participation in the program "Marko Polo II".

The Deputy-Chairman of the National Association of the Bulgarian Forwarding Firms and Vice-President of FIATA Ivan Petrov also held a lecture connected with the development of the logistics services market.
