The Ministry of Transport Opens its Doors on October 6. 2008 for Citizens, Companies and Nongovernmental Organizations Interested in OP "Transport".

The goal is the candidates, who wish to participate in the projects, part of OP "Transport" to improve their information about the European financial means, as well as to receive support in case of problems. The Operational Programme "Transport" 2007 - 2013 will be explained in detail, as well as its goals, priorities and projects foreseen for financing.

Through the whole day the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev and his team will present the main points in the financial means utilization.

In order to supply the maximum information for everyone interested in the projects the Ministry of Transport requires a preliminary registration on the following phone number - 02/940 95 55, from 10am till 4.00pm, up to October 3rd. The Registration will be according the order of the phone calls, and the citizens will have a chance to ask questions in advance.

Because of the limited capacity of the Conference room, citizens entering will be organized in five groups (50 persons each). Guests will be invited in the foyer of the Ministry of Transport by the entrance from Gurko Street.

The visits will be arranged according to the following time schedule:

09:00 - 10:30 - Visitors Group І
10:30 - 12:00 - Visitors Group ІІ
13:00 - 14:30 - Visitors Group ІІІ
14:30 - 16:00 - Visitors Group ІV
16:00 - 17:30 - Visitors Group V

The Operational Programme on Transport 2007-2013 is one of the seven Operational Programmes of the Republic of Bulgaria, financed by the EU Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund. This is the Operational Programme with the largest budget in Bulgaria Euro 2 003 481 163.68.

The goal of OP Transport is development of railway, road and waterway infrastructure, as well as stimulation of development of intermodality in accordance with the transport policy of the European Union and the established requirements for development of the Trans-European transport network in order to achieve stability of the Bulgarian transport system.
