Minister Mutafchiev Presented the Development of the Infrastructure Projects in Bulgaria to the EU Commissar Hubner

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev presented the development of the infrastructure projects accomplished in Bulgaria to the EU Commissar Danuta Hubner. The Meeting took place in Brussels. Both discussed the measures and the concrete activities undertaken on the implementation of the big projects. The transport Minister introduced the schedule for accomplishment of the projects, financed by the program ISPA to the EU Commissar Hubner. They should be finished, as foreseen, till the middle of 2009. During the talks the projects Danube Bridge 2 and "Plovdiv - Svilengrad" have been also discussed, the contract accomplishment delays and the operational interaction between the management, the beneficiary and the executor. Minister Mutafchiev assured the EU Commissar Danuta Hubner that the delay will be surmounted. He has also introduced the application forms for the Sofia - Metropolitan together with the positive statement of JASPERS for support during the preparation of big infrastructure projects, foreseen for financing on OP "Transport" 2007 -2013. As expected the Ministry of Transport will present another two big projects till the end of the year - Highway "Maritsa" and Highway "Struma". For additional information:
