Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” Removes a Bureaucratic Hurdle for the Bus Carriers

10.02.2010
Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" amends the regulation for transport with flexible schedule by removing the certification issued by the regional departments "Activity Control - DAI" of the list of passengers, starting today. This reform is part of the measures undertaken by Aleksandar Tsvetkov, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications aimed at stabilizing the automobile sector.

Aiming at keeping the control over this activity, a new requirement is introduced for the carrier to send a signed and stamped list of passengers via e-mail or fax up to two hours prior to departure. The list needs to be sent in the regional department "Activity Control - DAI" at the territory of which the carrier departs.

In addition to the names of the passengers, the document needs to contain the following: the number of the road list, the carrier's name, the registration number on file for the particular bus, the date and time of departure, the return date. An archive with the documents received at the regional departments will be kept.

Until now, these documents were authorized by hand in the regional department only during regular business hours which was an additional impediment for the carriers.

All carriers have been informed about the change introduced. The telephone and fax numbers of the regional department are published on the website of EA "Automobile Administration."
