The issue of post stamps in 2011 begins with a unique philatelic edition for Vanga

Thematic plan for issuing postage-philatelic products in 2011 was approved by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications. The first topic - "100 anniversary of the birth of Vanga”, is expected to attract interest from collectors and people who use letters for correspondence. For the first time in the history of Bulgarian stamps publishing philatelic product is dedicated to the Bulgarian known for her phenomenal ability.
A total of 43 marks, 5 illustrated cards and 18 envelopes are provided in the plan for 2011. The largest part is on Bulgarian history and anniversaries. With stamps will be marked the 1200-anniversary of the victory of Khan Krum in Varbishki Pass, 135-year anniversary of the April uprisings, 20 years since the establishment of the Atlantic Club.
"Year of Forests" is the theme of the edition 'Europe 2011', which is in the plans of all the postal administrations of the old continent. Stamps in the section "Bulgaria and the world” will be devoted to 50 years since the flight of Yuri Gagarin into space, anniversaries of the birth of composer Franz Liszt and the Norwegian explorer and diplomat of the early 20 century Fridtjof Nansen. |
