MTITC will publish a list of all schools with violations in the transportation of students

26.10.2010

The publication of the list of schools with violations in the transportation of students is part of the activities of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications to enhance security and ensure safety in carrying out the public transportation of children.

Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and EA "Automobile Administration" on November 1, 2010 will publish on its website a list of all the schools with violations in the transportation of children and students. The aim is that parents receive information about the school buses and thus be able to inquire about the level of safety and security in them.

This is part of the second stage of the campaign "Security for our Children", launched by Minister Alexandar Tsvetkov at the beginning of the school year. Since 15 September inspectors from EA Automobile Administration have sanctioned more than 70 school buses across the country. For technical failures were temporarily withdrawn from circulation seven vehicles. Checks on school buses will continue.

The most common violations are:

    * Technical failure - cracked windows, air leaks from the brake system, steering failures, missing bolts on the tires.
    * No passed periodic technical inspection.
    * Transportation of children over the allowed limit for that vehicle.
    * No speed limiter.
    * Drivers with no contracts.
    * Lack of a specialized transportation contract, which must be concluded either by the municipality or by the school.
    * Lack of marking plates.
