Minister Alexander Tsvetkov took part in the conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB)

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov took part in the National Conference “CITUB after 20 years – looking to the future”.

In his speech Minister Alexandar Tsvetkov accentuated that for the time of its existence the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria has managed to establish itself among the key factors in developing of the social values and principles inbred in a Democratic Civil Society. CITUB demonstrated that this is one of the main challenges in the building of a sustainable social system in which partners are the institutions, business and trade union structures, added the Minister.

The Minister presented some of the aspects of the policy pursued by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications in the area of improvement of the social dialogue.

In the Ministry works a Specialised Council for trilateral cooperation in sector “Transport”, where together with representatives of trade unions and business are discussed and seek solutions to a number of important issues related to transport development.

Advisory Councils in railway, water and air transport have been created. Representatives of professional organizations, trade unions as well as leading specialists and experts in scientific areas take part in them.

I am sure that our cooperation will continue to be effective and will mark a permanent positive development, concluded Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov.
