The endangered Griffon Vulture is illustrated on a postage stamp

The threatened by extinction Griffon Vulture is represented on a postage stamp that was put today into circulation. The topic of the mail-philatelic edition is “Protection of the rapacious birds on the Balkans”.
The edition is printed in 6500 copies. The artist of the project is Emilian Stankev. This is the third edition of the postage stamp which is dedicated to the Balkan Philatelic Exhibition “Balkanfila 2010” that took place in the city of Plovdiv in October.
