Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov: the licence of fifth point for technical inspection was suspended

14.02.2011

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov witnessed the suspension of a permit of a point for technical inspection of vehicles in Plovdiv. The reason for this is the perpetration of ficticious technical inspections by a general partnership “Tanyo Tanev and ECI”.

This is the fifth point with suspended licence after the amendments in the Road Traffic Law that came into force in July 2010. For comparison – before the changes in the normative order there was not one point with a suspended licence. In such a way will be for all points for technical inspection that have not understood that the rules have changed. We will be uncompromising to these that commit frauds and violations.

It is expected two service-stations in Varna and Pernik to lose their licences, announced the Minister. New requirements, according to which all the points for technical inspection will be equipped with technical means through which the technical inspections will be recorded, will come into force to the end of the year.

Later Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov visited Vagonoremonten Zavod-99 in the city of Septemvri. There he examined the capacity of the enterprise for rehabilitation of carriages. The enterprise is one of the five licenced in Europe for manufacture of axles. This modern factory shows that in Bulgaria can be made very good modernization and rehabilitation of old carriages, said Aleksandar Tsvetkov. The manufacturing of one carriage is five times cheaper than buying new carriage and its quality is approximately 95 % of the quality of the new carriages, said the Minister.
