MTITC prepares the issue of postage-philatelic products in 2012

60 postage-philatelic products have been issued since 2010. 12 of them have been put into circulation in the first four months of this year. The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications has started collecting proposals for issue of postage stamps and postage products in 2012. Proposals are accepted until June 30, 2011.
The applications that have come in are examined by a specialized council of experts in issue of postage stamps to the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov. In the Bulgarian issue of postage stamps and products are marked anniversaries relevant to important events and the life and activity of famous persons. By reason of that in the Annual plan of the subjects, approved by the Minister, are being included a limited number of topics over which are issued postal products.
The plan consists of subjects, divided in several sections: Bulgaria – our mother country (History and anniversaries, Culture and Art, Ecology, Sport, Fauna, Flora, Transport and Holidays), Bulgaria and Europe and Bulgaria and the world.
In 2009 the plan of the subjects included 55 postage stamps, in 2010 – 48, in 2011 – 43 postage stamps, 5 illustrated cards and 18 special envelopes.
