Memorandum of cooperation in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems was signed in MTITC

Memorandum of cooperation in the field of Intelligent transport systems was signed today between Bulgarian company ITS and the ITS United Kingdom, which is one of the oldest and most powerful companies in the world. "Development of Intelligent Transport Systems is one of the priorities of our country, and MTITC highly supports such initiatives" said minister Ivaylo Moskovski. Intelligent transport systems are a priority project for the next programming period of OP "Transport".
"By signing this memorandum we will improve coordination between the two NGOs" said ministe Moskovski during the meeting.
The initiative is also supported by the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova. During the meeting was discussed Sofia's bid to host the European ITS Congress in 2016 and 2017. ITS United Kingdom was one of the organizations that helped and supported the candidacy of Dublin, Ireland to host European ITS Congress in 2013 and with their experience can be very useful for Sofia in competition with the other candidate cities.
Public-private partnerships in ITS policy development was also discussed during the meeting.
