MTITC prepares a postage stamps plan for 2015

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications launches the preparation of the annual plan for postage stamps and products on the occasion of special events, anniversaries and celebrations for 2015. The deadline for submitting motivated proposals is 30 August 2014.
The plan will include topics that promote the development of the state and society in all their aspects – history, science, culture, art, economy, technology and sports. Proposals for special postal products dedicated on the international cooperation and friendship with other nations will be grouped in a separate category.
The proposal are to meet the criteria of the Council on Postage Stamp Issuing such as commemorating events like anniversaries of the birth of people that had contributed to the national identity or the development of society. The full list of criteria can be found here
The attractiveness of the topics for the collectors of postal philatelic products will also be taken into consideration during the selection procedure. The proposals have to fit in the topical categories “Bulgaria – our homeland”, “Bulgaria and Europe” and “Bulgaria and the world”. Not having a post stamp or card for the specific person issued in the past 10 years is another important prerequisite.
The plan for postage stamps, products and special postage seals for 2015 adopted by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications will be published on MTITC web page at the end of 2014.
