Minister Nikolina Angelkova presents MTITC priorities to representatives of 62 diplomatic missions

The caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Nikolina Angelkova and her team held a working breakfast with representatives of 62 diplomatic missions in Bulgaria. She presented the main priorities in the field of transport, information technology, e-government and communications. Thirty-two ambassadors, 26 representatives and four chargé d'affaires attended the meeting.

During the event Minister Nikolina Angelkova announced that the main priority of the ministry is to achieve progress on the major infrastructure projects under OP Transport 2007-2013, and the development of infrastructure projects with funds under Connecting Europe Facility

Another priority of the Ministry is the improvement of the financial and technical state of trade associations and government enterprises in the field of transport. Regarding the ICT sector, Minister Angelkova said that the Ministry will focus on the swift design of e-governance and the active work on the preparation of the amendments to the e-Governance Act. The ambassadors in turn posed various questions on the construction of Black Sea motorway, the opportunities for development of Stara Zagora airport, BDZ’s state and the negotiations with the creditors, the problems with the carriers and the development of administrative services.
