We are ready to take action in any given situation, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski, during a joint press conference in Galabovo, led by Minister Veselin Vuchkov and with the participation of Minister Ivelina Vasileva. Earlier today, Minister Moskovski also visited Burgas and Yambol.
Minister Moskovski informed that the emergency teams of National Railway Infrastructure Company and SE "Transport Construction and Rehabilitation" work on removing fallen rocks on the railway track. In the area of Simeonovgrad, emergency teams are awaiting the water to drain in order to take account of the damage to the rail infrastructure and to initiate action to recover the normal operation of trains.
In relation to the heavy rains, Minister Moskovski said that, together with Minister Ivelina Vasileva, he toured dams in the regions of Burgas and Yambol. In his words, all necessary and appropriate measures have been taken, as well as by local authorities, so as to avoid the slightest risk to human life. |
