04.05.2015
I hope that in three years the section of Hemus highway to Pleven will be completed, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski today at the official start of the construction works of the trolley bus depot in Pleven. We have reasons to hope for that as we have managed to include Hemus highway in the scope of OP Transport and Transport Infrastructure and we will be able to start the construction procedures of the section to Pleven, added Minister Moskovski.
The other important aspect that will boost the development in the region is the construction of the bridge at Nikopol – Turnu Magurele. Ivaylo Moskovski recalled that on 24 April in Craiova he and his Romanian counterpart Joan Rus agreed that the two countries will initiate feasibility studies for its construction. The Minister said that he hoped the feasibility studies to be ready by the end of the year so that the construction works could start as of next year. The options for financing are to be discussed as some private investments would possibly be used. The Minister highlighted that they work hard towards the development of the region and turning it into a nice place for living.
During his visit in Pleven Ivaylo Moskovski announced that within a month EA Automobile Administration’s inspectors have inspected almost all of the 1500 buses, which transport children and students. He said that this is part of the measures undertaken by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications with regard to UN’s Third Global Road Safety Week “Save children’s lives”, 4 – 10 May 2015. During the inspections about 30 tickets have been issued as the main offences relate to problems with the documents. When there is strict and constant control the results are good, said Minister Moskovski. |
