Deputy Minister Valeri Borissov: All services of CAA are now electronic

All services provided by Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" (CAA) are now electronic. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Mr. Valeri Borissov during the presentation of the successfully completed projects on the introduction of 20 new electronic services to CAA. According to him, until now the Directorate has developed 35 online services, and now their total number, altogether with the latter, is 55.

Deputy Minister Valeri Borissov announced that over 200 organizations are expected to benefit by electronic services and 10 000 employees will be able to electronically submit their applications for the issuance of licenses, certificates, permits, approvals and subscriptions for licenses. He added that last year the CAA has provided over 6,200 services. Based on these data, the digital submission of applications in the next year is expected to save over 100,000 hours of travel and waiting time for documents receive. This will reduce the transport costs for users up to 150 000 lev per year. On the other hand, electronic services will save over 7000 work hours for the staff responsible for the performance of services.

The project "Upgrading of information and communication environment of CAA through the development and implementation of new e-services" was implemented within 11 months and is worth 325 000 lev without VAT. It was funded under the Operative Programme “Administrative Capacity” and co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
