Minister Ivaylo Moskovski met the co-chairperson of the joint Bulgarian-Korean Intergovernmental Commission Lee Tae-ho

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and communications Ivaylo Moskovski held a working meeting with the Deputy Minister on Economic Affairs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Lee Tae-ho today at the First session of the Joint Bulgarian-Korean Intergovernmental Commission for economic cooperation. The Commission is chaired by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov.

Minister Moskovski stated that the meeting is an important step in the relations between the two countries and added that he hoped the good intergovernmental relations between Bulgaria and Korea would be achieved in the sectorial policy. In conclusion he wished success to the intergovernmental commission.

Deputy Minister Lee Tae-ho thanked Minister Moskovski for the support and the coordination on behalf of the Ministry of Transport, information Technology and Communications for organizing the first session of the commission. He presented the position of the Korean party on the development of the future economic relations.

At the session the commission discussed issues of mutual interest in various fields and outlined specific actions for the development of the economic ties between Bulgaria and Korea. The opportunities for expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of information technology, communications transport, trade and economic ties, investments, agriculture, energy, tourism, environment, science, culture and sports were also a matter of discussion.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environment and Waters, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and other institutions took part in the commission.
