Deputy Minister Ginev took part in a trilateral meeting on navigation in the Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube River

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Anton Ginev participated in a trilateral meeting between Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport of Romania Marius Humelnicu and the policy coordinator in DG "Mobility and Transport" of the European Commission Cesare Bernabei.

During the meeting were presented the results of the activity of Executive Agency "Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River" (EA EMDR) and AFDJ-Galati (River Administration of the Lower Danube, Galati) aimed at ensuring the necessary navigation conditions in the common section of the Danube River in the current year.

Within the frame of the event were discussed measures to be taken by both sides to ensure acceptable navigation conditions, not only in the next year but also in the medium term.

During the meeting were discussed joint projects with the participation of Bulgaria and Romania, which are co-financed by the European Union.

From the Bulgarian side the trilateral meeting was attended by Executive Director of Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" Zhivko Petrov, Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of State Enterprise "Port Infrastructure" Vladimir Todorov, Director General of State Enterprise "Port Infrastructure" Angel Zaburtov, Deputy Director General of State Enterprise "National Railway Infrastructure Company" Hristo Aleksiev. The last trilateral meeting for 2015 in Rousse on navigation in the common Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube river was hosted by Executive Director of EA EMDR Pavlin Tsonev.
