The first postage stamp, dedicated to Bulgarian actor Grigor Vachkov, was validated today. The ceremony gathered three generations of relatives of the star of Bulgarian cinema - wife Silvia, daughter Martina and granddaughter Rada, who is also an artist of the postage stamp.
Grigor Vachkov has been depicted on a postage stamp before, but today, for the first time, a special edition is devoted to him, said during the ceremony Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski. According to him, Bulgarian cinema is a favorite theme in our postage stamp issuing. Over the years dozens of postage-philatelic publications have been created for famous actors. In 2005 was validated a block of four postage stamps dedicated to "90 Years of Bulgarian Cinema". In 2015 was issued a postage stamp for the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian cinema.
The postage stamp, issued today, is in circulation of 11,000 copies. The artist Rada Miladinova portrayed the work of Grigor Vachkov as a film strip, with moments of the actor's most memorable roles.
