Historical Information

The buildings, where the Ministry of Transport is housed today are two – one ancient and one modern edifice. The building, where the Ministry central direction is located is built by order of Prince Ferdinand. It has housed the commandants’ headquarter.

The modern edifice also has its own history. It’s famous with the name “Kubadinka” – because of Pencho Kubadinski’s enthusiasm to complete its construction in a very short term. The Building has 18 floors and was built with, in those days, modern technologies.

It impressed as one of the highest buildings in the Centrum of Sofia at that time.
