The aircraft accident investigation unit presented on April 03, 2006 “An Annual Air Safety Analysis for the Year 2005” The analysis is carried out annually and its goal is to acquaint  the representatives of the aviation branch with the main problem aspects of the civil aviation activities, as well to map out actions for strengthen the flights safety.

The presentation attended the Deputy Minister of Transport Daniela Nikiforova, the chief advisor of the Scientific – Technical Institute for cooperation to the Ministry of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany professor doctor Elmer Gimula, as well the director general of General Directorate “Civil Aeronautical Administration” Georgi Stoianov.

The directions of the aviation operators, airports, the fly schools, as well the State Enterprise “Air Traffic Control” (ATC) also contributed to the preparation of the annual analysis.  

The fly safety annual analysis was presented by the head of SZRAC Atanas Kostov. He acquainted the air specialists with the basic aviation events, occurred during the year 2005, with the analysis of the reasons, which have caused them, and the safety measures, been taken, as well with the demerits and omissions in the work of the aviation transport system of Republic of Bulgaria.

General Directorate “Civil Aeronautical Administration” presented the possibilities for emergency leaving of the airplane, the process of certifying the aviation operators for transportation of passengers, also the crew and fly attendance functions to ensure the passengers safety in emergency situation.           

The director of “Safety and Quality” directorate of State Enterprise “ATC” reviewed the state of the flight safety in SE “ATC" for the year 2005.   

A lecture has been given, from the head of the department “KIODOT”- airport Burgas, on the preparation of the airport for the summer charter season, as well on the state of the emergency–rescue activities.

The publication of the annual analysis has been accomplished in accordance with the Directive 94/56 of EU, which determines the fundamental standards regarding the investigation of aviation incidents and accidents.
