Minister Mutafchiev will attend the European Conference of the Ministers of Transport in Dublin 15.05.2006

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev and the Deputy Minister of Transport Georgi Peterneichev will attend the 90th session of the Minister Council of the European Conference of the Ministers of Transport /ECMT/. The forum will take place on May 17th and 18th in Dublin, Ireland.

During the 90th session of the Minister Council of ECMT questions connected with the further development of the organization and its transition to global international forum will be discussed. Also discussed will be issues related to the stable developing transport politics – urban transport, transport and environment, road safety, achievement of the purpose – decrease of the road accidents to 50% till the year 2012, domestic water ways and environment protection.

The European Conference of the Ministers of Transport has been initiated on the initiative of the west European Ministers of Transport with protocol, signed in Brussels on October 17, 1953. Nowadays members of the organization are 40 countries. Bulgaria has a full membership since 1992.
