The Delegation of the European Commission Approved the “Short List” for Danube Bridge II Supervision 10.07.2006

The Delegation of the European Commission approved the “short list” of seven companies/consortiums for the construction supervision and projecting control for the time of the second bridge construction.

In the competition for implementation of projecting control and building supervision during the construction of the bridge, the following firms will take part:

  2. Faber Maunsell LTD; Louis Berger SAS; Ove Arup&Partners Ltd; Tecnica Y Proyectos S.A.
  3. INGEROP; HIGH-POINT RENDEL
  4. Mott MacDonald Limited
  5. SETEC TPI; CONSULGAL; DENCO; DIKRIL CONSULT
  6. Tony Gee and Partners (TGP); White Young green Consulting Ltd. (WYGC); PLANET S.A.; WYG International (formerly IMC Consulting)
  7. WSP Group; Hill International; Italferr; Tecnic

The tender dossier has been sent to the seven participants on July 07, 2006. The time for submitting of the offers is 17 o’clock on September 04, 2006. An explanations meeting for the participants has been also foreseen and will take place on August 04, 2006 in the Ministry of Transport. The valuer-commission will start its work on September 05, 2006.

The contract with the participants, who wins the tender, will be signed till the end of this year. The Consultant chosen will examine and coordinate the technical project, prepared by the Constructor of the bridge and also will accomplish construction supervision during the building.

The total value of the contract is 7 millions Euros with duration 51 months, including mobilization period of one month, 38 months for accomplishing of the construction (projecting and building) of the bridge and 12 months guarantee period.
