Minister Mutafchiev and the Chairman of KNSB Doctor Hristov Discussed the Transport Sector Problems 24.07.2006

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev and the Chairman of KNSB doctor Hristov discussed the transport sector problems on a meeting which took place in the Ministry of Transport.

The main issues, which were concern during the conversation, were:
- The syndicates participation in the forming of the social clauses in the privatization contracts of air company “Bulgaria Air” and “Navigation Maritime Bulgare”, as well the financial status of the Bulgarian railways.

During the meeting Minister Mutafchiev declared that the positions of the Ministry of Transport and KNSB are very similar. In regard to the privatization of “Bulgaria Air” and “Navigation Maritime Bulgare”, as well concerning the financial status of the Bulgarian railways, the Ministry of Transport accepts the approach for dialog and discussion with the syndicate of the main social parameters.

Minister Mutafchiev presented to doctor Hristov the measures which the Ministry of Transport, together with the Ministry of Finance intends to undertake, in order to improve the financial status of the two railway companies. For that purpose, a common workgroup has been created in the Ministry of Finance.
