Almost Half a Million External Visitors Have Been Recorded in the Internet Portal of the Ministry of Transport from the Year Begin until Now 18.08.2006

Almost half a million external visitors have been recorded in the internet portal of the Ministry of Transport (www.mt.government.bg) from the year begin until now. From the official start of the internet portal on February 15, 2006 till June1, 2006 it has been visited by 236 016 guests. Approximately the number of the visitors from outside (without the employees of the MT) varies between 2000 and 3500 and reaches some days 7 664 calls (April 27, 2006).

For the period from June1, 2006 to August 17, 2006 the unique visitations are 255 007, which points an interest increase. At an average, for this period, the number of the external users of the portal varies between 2000 and 4500 a day and reaches 13817 calls a day (June 28, 2006).

Accomplishing the European directives to ensure an equal access to the information on low, projects, strategies and services, granted by the state administration, the Ministry of Transport started on June 4, 2006 a new version of the internet portal – for visually unpaired. This is the first internet page of like nature in the state administration. It allows facilitating the access of all people to the services offered by the MT in the context of the coming membership of Republic of Bulgaria in the EU and also supports the better socialization of the visually impaired people. From the start of the internet version for visually impaired 55 516 unique calls have been registered till that moment. At an average the number of the external visitors varies between 500 and 1500 a day. Occasionally the visitations reach 5786 a day.

Rank first is the category “News” followed by “Automobile Transportation”, “Policies”, “Political cabinet”.

In the English version the most visited categories are: “Sector Operational Programs on Transport”, “News”, “About the Ministry”, “Automobile Transport”.

The internet portal statistic results show a permanent interest, with tendency to augmentation. The statistical data are very important for us, as it help us to find out which the most demanded rubrics are, in order to renew the documents and the rubrics of the portal in time. The actuality of the information we publish is a high priority for us, in order to be useful to the users and to react of all commentaries and recommendations.
