The Ministry of Transport is Co-promoter of European Seminar for Popularization of the Maritime Labor Convention 15.09.2006

The Ministry of Transport, EA ”Maritime Administration” THE Ship-owner Association in Bulgaria and the Seamen Syndicate are promoting a Regional European Seminar for popularization of the Maritime Labor Convention 2006. The event will take place on September 19-21, 2006 in Varna, health-resort “Sunny Day”, hotel “Pallas”. The registration of the journalists will start at 8.00 am, and the forum will be opened in 9.00 o’clock. A short briefing will take place in 10 am.  

The main message of the seminar is to activate the work on European and International level, for ratification, enforcement, and putting into practice of the Maritime Labor Convention, in order to ensure the optimum for the existence of this branch.

More than 90 persons confirmed their participation – representatives of 14 European governments, ship-owner and seamen organizations, representatives of the EU Commission (EC), The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), International Transport workers Federation (ITF) and the International Ship-owner Federation (ISF).
