The ninth session of the Mixed Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Rumanian Commission for Commercial-Technical and Scientific-Technical Cooperation will take place in Bucharest on September 20–21, 2006.

The Bulgarian delegation will be leaded by the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev in his capacity of co-chairman of the commission. From Rumanian side co-chairman is the Minister of Transport, Building and Tourism Radu Berchany.

The following themes will be discussed:

  1. Information presentation by the Leaders of the Mixed Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Rumanian Commission for Economical and Scientific-Technical Cooperation regarding the current economic development of the both countries.
  2. Development of the bilateral commercial relations and the economical cooperation.
  3. Engagements fulfillment analysis regarding the Protocol from the Eight Session of the Mixed Bulgarian-Rumanian Commission for Economical and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Bulgaria and Rumania.
  4. Discussion on the perspectives for further development of the bilateral cooperation in the following fields:      
  • Economic, bilateral commercial relations, industry, small and middle range companies and tourism;
  • Military-economical and technical cooperation;
  • Energy and infrastructure;
  • Transport;
  • Regional cooperation;
  • Environment protection;
  • Disasters and accidents
  • Communications;
  • State administration;
  • Agriculture;
  • Labor and social policy;
  • Education and scientific-technical cooperation;
  • Tourism;
  • Statistic.

Within the framework of the session, the two ministers Peter Mutafchiev and Radu Berchany will sign a common statement, regarding the mutual vision for cooperation in the context of the preparation to enforce the European Union law for United European Sky, which includes the establishment of functional blocs of airspace.
