Large size

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev met representatives of the Bulgarian Aviation Association and the Pilot’s Union today in the Building of the Ministry of Transport.

The reason for the talks is the recommendations on Chapter 9 “Transport”, in the last monitoring report, regarding the readiness stage of Bulgaria and Rumania for membership in the European Union.

After the meeting Minister Mutafchiev said:

“We discussed all issues which worry the branch. I ordered to GD Civil Aviation Administration to publish an information bulletin with all normative documents, which will regulate the aerial navigation and the aviation business in the EU. We will create a common workgroup to specify the problems and in the same time to suggest concrete changes in the low sub-ordered acts, so that the legislation will be completely synchronized.

The Ministry of Transport has the support of the Bulgarian Air companies Association and experts from the aviation branch, together with GD “Civil Aviation Administration”, to resolve all the problems in accordance with the recommendations of EASA.

The Ministry will continue its work, together with the branch, on the solution of the problems, pointed out in the monitoring report.
