Minister Mutafchiev will Attend the Meeting of the Council of the European Union (Transport, Telecommunications and Energy) 10.10.2006

The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev will attend the Meeting of the Council of the European Union (Transport, Telecommunications and Energy). It will take place on October 12th, 2006 in Luxemburg.

Within the mainframe of the session the midterm review of the EC White Paper on transport, as well the conditions for stable development of the sector will be discussed. The current state of the GALILEO program will be also commented.

During the meeting, topics from the field of air transport will be also considered, such as Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council, on common rules in the field of civil aviation security, as well as Proposal for European Parliament Regulation and EU Air Transport Services Council Regulation.

Foremost Minister Mutafchiev will speak in Brussels with the Vice-president of the European Commission and Commissioner on Transport Jacque Barrot and with the Director of Directorate “Terrestrial Transport” of the Directorate-General “Transport” Enrico Pascuarelli.
