Two Financial Memorandums to the ISPA Program Were Signed in the Sector “Transport" Today 11.01.2006

The Deputy Minister of Transport Vesela Gospodinova attended the Signing of seven financial memorandums to the ISPA, two of them in the sector “Transport”, and the other in sector “Environment”. The Ceremony took place in the Ministry of Finance today. The documents were signed from the Minister of Finance Plamen Oresharski and from the Head of the European Commission to Republic of Bulgaria Dimitris Kourkoulas.

The whole value of the projects is 183 220 000 Euro. 133 197 000 Euro are gratuitous help from the European Commission. The national joint financing comes up to 19 148 000 Euro. The ensured loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank are to the value of 18 920 000 Euro and 11 955 000 Euro.

Financial Memorandums in Sector “Transport”

I. 2005/BG/16/P/PA/002 – Technical support for modernization of the railway line Vidin – Sofia.

The total value of the project is: 4 040 000 Euro.
Gratuitous help of ISPA is: 4 434 000 Euro.

II. 2005/BG/16/P/PA/004 – Technical support for rehabilitation of railway infrastructure sectors along railway lines Plovdiv – Burgas and Mezdra – Gorna Oriahovitsa.

The total value of the project is: 10 480 000 Euro.
Gratuitous help of ISPA is: 8 908 000 Euro.
