The traffic of trucks has been restored at the border checkpoint "Kapitan Andreevo" announced the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Kristian Krastev. According to him this morning he sent representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, led by the Deputy Minister Albena Lazarova to get acquainted with the demands of the Bulgarian carriers.

Bulgarian carriers thanked the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Executive Agency "Road Administration" for the quick and timely response. They also made a commitment not to intensify the situation with new protests at the border until the transport ministers of Bulgaria and Turkey meet. The meeting is expected to be held within 15 days.

According to the carriers a few weeks ago a letter was sent to the Turkish customs with instructions that the Bulgarian trucks must be checked very strictly. "All the materials which were provided by the Bulgarian carriers are submitted to the representatives of the Turkish side," said the Executive Director of Executive Agency "Road Administration" Valentin Bozhkov.
