The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Anton Ginev discussed the possibilities for using a new multimodal transport corridor connecting Bulgaria and Iran through the Black Sea and the Caucasus. The discussions were held within the framework of the Third Meeting of the Joint Bulgarian – Iranian Transport Committee, which took place in the period 19-22 April 2015 in the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Teheran.

During his visit Deputy Minister Anton Ginev met with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Ahund and two of his substitutes, as well as with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Madzhid Tacht-Ravanchi.

Deputy Minister Ginev held meetings with the Executive Director of the Iranian State Railways, the Deputy Executive Director of the Organization of Ports and Navigation of Iran and experts from the railway unit of one of the leading companies with state participation in Iran – Mapna Group.

During the official and expert talks the two parties discussed priority issues of mutual interest in the field of automobile, railway, air and maritime transports.
