Jordan to recognize Bulgarian seafarers’ training and licences 07.05.2015

Bulgarian seafarers’ training and licences will be recognized in Jordan, which was made possible after the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski and the Minister of Transport Lina Shebib signed reciprocal bilateral agreements in Aman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.  

Following the agreements signed the training and licencing of Jordanian seafarers to work onboard of ships registered in Bulgaria will be recognized. The agreements regulate the standards for competence, issuing, approval, re-approval and repealing of licences. The registrations of licences and standards for medical examination of seafarers have also been settled.

During his visit Minister Moskovski held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Communications and information Technology of Jordan Majd Shweikeh and discussed the future signing of a Memorandum of cooperation in the field of information technology and communications. Talks were held on the cooperation between the two countries through exchange of experience and information on the development of electronic communication technologies and information society, information and network security and e-government.
