Minister Ivaylo Moskovski presented in Qatar the opportunities for concession of transport sites 18.05.2015

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski took part in the delegation accompanying Prime Minister Boyko Borisov during his official visit to the State of Qatar on 16-18 May 2015.

During the visit Minister Ivaylo Moskovski held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Information and Communication Technologies Hessa ​​Al Jaber and the Minister of Transport Jassem Bin Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti.

In the transport field Minister Ivaylo Moskovski presented the transport infrastructure sites ready for concession and drew particular attention to the opportunities offered by the Bulgarian airports and ports. The Qatari side expressed interest in the port of Varna, and the two sides agreed on Qatari professionals to visit the port and to get acquainted with the opportunities it offers. The Qatar side proposed the signing of a Memorandum for development of maritime transport between the two countries during the visit.

During the talks the Qatari side confirmed the interest in exploiting the airline Doha - Varna by Qatar Airways. The possibility for training and exchange of experience in the field of airspace management was also discussed.

In the field of information technology the two sides discussed strengthening the cooperation by organizing visits and a business forum in Qatar, which will present the experience of Bulgarian ICT companies and the development of future projects between the two countries in this field.
