Information Services Plc – Varna has designed and launched a system for electronic admission of students. The program was tested on 20 May at “P. R. Slaveikov” Elementary School. In the first three minutes some 11 e-applications were submitted, and by the 23rd minute some 100 candidates were registered. In the first hour 160 students were registered online. On 21 May the online applications reached 250, meanwhile only two applications were registered on spot at the school.

The e-admission system will be tested in VII Comprehensive School ‘Nayden Gerov” in Varna. The admission ranking for first grade will be carried out via the program on 03.06.2015.

The system consists of three modules. The first one is public and is aimed at parents. The application includes the regulatory framework, a regional section, application form – online registration and a form to download (for those who want to apply on spot), timetable, information for the registered candidates (which is updated), results from the ranking, Q&A section, and parent profile section. Following a registration each parent receives a password to access their profile where they can monitor the progress of their application.

The second module is for school staff. It provides registration and editing of the applications, confirmation of the admission and cancellation of applications. This panel provides enables the upload of news, regulatory framework, and Q&As.

The ranking module is to be used by the headmaster. This part of the system performs the ranking, generates automatic references for the students and the waiting list.

The program “Admission to first grade” was designed on the basis of software products for admission to nursery schools and the practice of Information Services of using them in the Municipalities of Varna, Russe and Stara Zagora.
