The participants in the First Regional Forum on Internet Governance can apply for work scholarship in Geneva 26.05.2015

The participants in the First Regional Forum on Internet Governance in South-East Europe, which will take place in Sofia on 3 June, will have the opportunity to apply for work scholarship in Geneva. The approved candidates will be able to gain experience at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Secretariat in the Swiss capital for six or nine months. Representatives of South-East Europe will have an advantage when applying.

The participants in the Regional Forum who are interested in the scholarship program shall send in their applications at see@intgovforum.org. The necessary documents include: a resume, a cover letter, personal and contact data of two reference contact persons. The deadline for application is 7 June 2015.

The nominated candidates shall prove their strong interest in issues related to Internet governance. A mandatory condition is knowledge of English, and some knowledge in French or another UN member state language will be considered an advantage.

On 3 June Sofia will host the First Regional Forum on Internet Governance in South-East Europe SEEDIG with the slogan “Internet governance for all stakeholders: from global debates to realia in the South-East Europe”. On 4 and 5 June Bulgaria will host the European Dialogue for Internet Governance (EuroDIG) 2015, the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications being an institutional partner and UNICART – the local organizer. The event takes place annually as the European version of the Global Forum on Internet Governance (IGF). The event will take place on 4-5 June 2015 at Kempinski Marinella Hotel, Sofia.

Participation in the Regional Forum (SEEDIG) and EuroDIG is free of charge, but participants need to register at http://www.eurodig.org/registration-form/ by 31 May 2015.
