Postage stamp dedicated to the participation of Bulgarian athletes in the first European Games Baku 2015 29.05.2015

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov, the Minister of Youth and Sports Krassen Kralev and the President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Stefka Kostadinova set the seal of a postal-philatelic product dedicated to the first European Games Baku 2015.

The sports event will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan from 12 to 28 June under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees. 127 Bulgarian athletes will participate in the competitions. 

The item depicts the sports in which Bulgaria has won the most medals in Olympic Games, European and world championships, said during the ceremony Deputy Minister Valery Borissov. He stressed out that the main focus is the classic style fight. "This has been the most successful sport for Bulgaria over the years, and now we expect our athletes to return from Baku with medals", said the Deputy Minister. 

The postal product consists of a block postage stamp, an illustrated envelope and a special post seal. The stamp is in circulation of 11 000 copies, and the artist of the projects is Lyudmil Metodiev.
