The Executive Director of Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" Tsvetelin Tsvetanov dismissed the inspector found to carry out unregulated actions during traffic control at "Maritza" highway.

This comes as a result of a signal sent on Monday evening to EA "Automobile Administration", accompanied by a video, which shows that the inspector of district department "Automobile Administration" – Haskovo, with initials P.V., carried out illegal actions during a truck inspection. The subsequent inspection found out that the employee has infringed the internal rules for control activities, according to which all roadside inspections must be carried out within the scope of CCTV cameras installed in the official vehicles of the Agency.

The district department "Automobile Administration" in Haskovo will also be investigated, and all officials responsible for roadside inspections have been suspended until the completion of the inspection, and other teams are appointed instead.

For nearly a month in EA "Automobile Administration" a plan for the prevention of corruption has been drafted. After this incident, the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski ordered the prompt work on the plan, which shall be presented to him by the end of next week.

The management of EA "Automobile Administration" will continue to rely in the future on signals for irregularities and illegal actions by its employees, as each case will be investigated promptly and provided evidence is found, measures will be undertaken against the perpetrators. Signals can be submitted by phone 0700 19 990 and 02/940 94 00 and by e-mail: avto_a@rta.government.bg.
