The Director General of Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" Mincho Tsvetkov headed the Bulgarian delegation ay the 34th plenary session to mark the 60th anniversary of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). The event takes place today, June 30, 2015, at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.

Furthermore the Directors General of national civil aviation administrations of the ECAC Member States, the forum involved some high-level representatives of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), international and regional organizations such as the European Commission, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), the European branch of the International Airports Council (ACI Europe). Topical issues of safety and security of civil aviation, the three-year work program (2016 - 2018 years) and the related budget, as well as organizational issues will be discussed during the session.

In its 60 years, the European Civil Aviation Conference has been a major contributor to the development of air transport in Europe. ECAC was founded in 1955 with headquarters in Paris, with the primary mission to work for the development of safe, efficient and sustainable air transport in Europe. This is achieved through harmonized policies and practices coined and implemented by the 44 Member States of the Conference in cooperation with the specialized organizations in the field of civil aviation. ECAC seeks to share and promote their views on the development of air transport with other regions in the world.

ECAC Member States are: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
