Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" launches 9 new electronic services. This was announced today during a press conference for the presentation of three projects implemented under the Operational Program "Administrative Capacity".

Nine new electronic services will provide for the issuing of licenses and certificates for public transport of passengers and goods in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the issuing duplicates of these documents and the extension of their validity.

Changes in the circumstances listed in the license for public transport of passengers or cargo in the Republic of Bulgaria and changes in the list of vehicles to the license will be made electronically. The documents and financial stability of companies that carry out transportation of passengers and goods in Bulgaria will also be electronically checked.

The project provides for the delivery of top quality server equipment with the necessary software and independent power supply, and the training of 30 employees, 10 trainers and two administrators to work with the electronic administrative services.

Tens of thousands of individuals and companies use annually the services of EA “Automobile Administration”. The significant variety of documents and the intensity of their turnover (over 4 million per year) related to road transport servicing, results in the need for streamlining information processes at the Agency through the implementation of modern technological tools and exchange of information. The needs of citizens and business are mainly related to the need for quality public services, access to information and access to knowledge and skills.

The deployment of these services will significantly improve business servicing and will save a lot of time and money to carriers, as well as increase transparency in the provision of administrative services.

The other two projects implemented resulted in broadening the knowledge of 150 inspectors carrying out control of road transport, as the employees were trained to identify manipulations of tachograph devices. They were presented the national and European requirements for transport safety and roadworthiness of vehicles, as part of the training was linked to requirements for transportation of dangerous goods and the control on the consolidation of cargo.

Within a year some 104 employees were trained to assess the knowledge and skills in the practical tests for candidate drivers as they passed practical training to avoid risks in traffic, towards a non-invasive, economic and environmental conduct.

The projects were implemented within a year under the Operational Program "Administrative Capacity", with the financial support of the European Social Fund.
