The regular flight from Sofia to Istanbul is duly redirected to Izmir. There is no danger for the Bulgarian citizens who were on board of the plane.

In relation to the bombings in Istanbul, Sofia Airport has permitted an emergency landing of an airplane of Air France. The commander of the flight has decided to return to Paris.

By order of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, if necessary, the Bulgarian airports in Sofia, Bourgas and Varna are ready to accept up to 23 machines, depending on the type and the category of the airplanes.

The emergency situation over our airspace is managed personally by Minister Ivaylo Moskovski.

At the moment is announced Raid 0 / Zero Air Operations / for the airspace over Ataturk Airport, Istanbul.
