At average 10 – 12 % higher price State forest enterprises sell timber via the system of electronic tenders, said Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov. Today he examined how operates the system on the sale of timber, which was elaborated by "Information Services" AD. The platform is used in the Southwestern state enterprise within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Today were held four e-tenders with more than 36 registered candidates. The latter have been offered the sale 700 cubic meters of timber.

Four months after the official launch of the platform were carried out over 40 tenders with hundreds of participants, said during the inspection Deputy Minister Valery Borissov. According to him, through the introduction of the electronic platform has been facilitated the process of registration in electronic tenders of participants from various parts of the country. "On one hand, it will provide for more competition and direct financial benefits to the state enterprise and on the other hand, it will save time and money of the candidate buyers", he added. So far there has been no appeal against the results of e-tenders, which is a guarantee for the good work of the platform.

Deputy Minister Borissov recalled that before the introduction of the electronic tenders in some cases the timber had been sold at the initial price without competitive proposals. This lead to suspicions regarding fixed arrangements between the participants.

The success of the platform in the Southwestern state enterprise provoked the interest in the system of "Information Services" AD by other structures, said the Deputy Minister. By the end of 2016 the platform will operate in the South Central and the North Western state enterprises. Valery Borissov expressed his gratitude for the good cooperation to the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Desislava Taneva, as well as the directors of the three companies - Eng. Damyan Damyanov, Eng. Botyo Arabadjiev and Eng. Tsvetko Tsvetkov. Deputy Minister Valery Borissov concluded that the platform of "Information Services" AD will cover two thirds of the forestries in the country.
