Experts from the European Commission met today with representatives of the administrations and the business, to provide guidance for apply the Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems in the national legislations of the countries of the European Union. The event was hosted the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.

After the entry into force of the normative document in August 2016, Member States have a period of 21 months to introduce the Directive into their national legislations.

During the meetings was presented public-private partnership in the field of cyber security between the European Commission and companies in the industry. It marks the beginning of new cooperation with expected investments in cybersecurity measures amounting to € 1.8 billion by 2020.
