This was stated by the Minister of Transportation and Communications, Georgi Peev, during the ceremony marking the handover of the institution’s leadership.
"Transport is the driving force of the economy," Minister Peev noted. He highlighted that among the main priorities for his team’s work will be the development of intermodality, the implementation of digital solutions and technologies related to artificial intelligence, as well as the promotion of green transport. Minister Peev added that he will rely on a team of experts with experience and professional training to achieve the set goals.
"I believe there must always be continuity," he emphasised and thanked the outgoing Minister Korman Ismailov for the information provided regarding key issues in the sector.
For his part, Korman Ismailov noted that the Ministry of Transport and Communications possesses significant administrative and expert capacity. "I am convinced that the new team, led by Mr. Peev, will find the best solutions to these challenging issues," he said.
