The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov, presented the awards to the three winners of the national competition “Bulgaria – Land of Wonders.” The ceremony took place yesterday at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre and brought together representatives of state institutions, local authorities, the cultural community, and the media.
The quota of bilateral, transit and third-country road freight transport permits between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan will be doubled in 2026. The agreement was reached by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Dimitar Nedyalkov, and the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maksat Kaliakparov, during the Joint Bulgarian – Kazakh Commission on Road Transport. The meeting took place on 29–30 October 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The political goal of the Government is for Bulgaria to achieve full membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) by the end of 2026.
This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov, during the forum “Partnership for Development: The State and Business in Bulgaria’s Accession Process to the OECD,” organised by the British – Bulgarian Business Association. An employee of the Regional Department "Automobile Administration" – Plovdiv caused a road incident with an official vehicle yesterday (Friday) upon arrival at a training center to conduct a practical exam. While reversing, the employee struck one of two pedestrians who were walking together.
A team from the "Traffic Police" sector – Plovdiv arrived at the scene of the incident. The driver's alcohol test was negative. The field test for narcotic substances returned a positive result, and a blood sample was taken for laboratory analysis.

The driving course of the driver who caused the severe road incident on 17 October in the area between Sozopol and Chernomorets ended on 11 July 2025 – one day before the mandatory digitalisation of driver candidate training came into force. This was announced by the Executive Director of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration", Slav Monov, who today participated in the inspection of the driver's training course in Burgas.
In connection with the severe road incident from last night, in which three people died, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadzhov ordered a full inspection of the training and exam of the young driver who caused the crash.
