A postage stamp is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Doyran

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications issued a postage stamp on the theme "100 Years of the Battle of Doyran".

The publication is dedicated to one of the great military victories in Bulgarian history. The battles from 22 April to 8 May 1917 are known as the Second Battle of the Doyran Epopee. The fights of Ninth Pleven Division under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Vazov (after the battle raised in the rank of Major General), prove the power of the Bulgarian military thought. Facing numerous forces, they have won a victory with minimal losses.

The postage-philatelic edition consists of a postage stamp in a block with a nominal value of 1.50 BGN in a circulation of 10 100 pieces and a special stamp. The artist of the projects is Aleksandar Vachkov.
