Hristo Alexiev: Today, Lukoil paid advance tax in the amount of BGN 90 million, which already entered the State Budget

Today, Lukoil remitted advance tax in the amount of BGN 90 million, which already entered the State Budget. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Hristo Alexiev, during the presentation of the functionalities of BULATSA - Flight Information Portal in the building of the Directorate General of Air Traffic Services Authority. "These BGN 90 million, in terms of proportion and amount, are more than the taxes that Lukoil has paid to the State for a total of 20 years ago", the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out. He added that this became possible after the negotiations with the company, which has already moved all its economic activity from the Netherlands to Bulgaria.

"In connection with the European regulation on taxation of excess profits and as a corporate tax, my expectations are that next year Lukoil will pay taxes in the amount of about BGN 600 million", Alexiev explained.

"We will do everything we can to keep fuel prices down. It has to work in two directions. For the state to receive both its taxes from Lukoil here in the country, and for fuel prices to go down even further. This is our priority policy", said Hristo Alexiev.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Air Traffic Services Authority on the new flight information system. "This system will guarantee a higher level of safety and security of air traffic", Alexiev said, noting that the new portal has no analogue in the world.

The General Director of the Air Traffic Services Authority, Georgi Peev, announced that the system is available and is aimed at the various aviation users, such as airlines, users of small planes, airports, as well as citizens. It is completely free and enables flights to be planned correctly, as well as to be executed safely and efficiently. "For us, safety is in the first place when we serve air traffic", added the general director of the Air Traffic Services Authority.

All aeronautical information on air traffic is collected in the portal in real time; particular flight details; weather data and more. Two access plans are defined, the Basic one being provided to all users and the Advanced one to airlines, airport and aviation operators, aviation organizations and aviation personnel holding the relevant certificates of competency.
