Postage stamps for the friendship between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Andreana Atanasova, the Speaker of the National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria Temirtai Izbastin validated an edition dedicated to the friendship between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. It consists of two postage stamps. The first depicts the philosopher, mathematician, musician and astronomer Abu Nasr Al-Farabi. He was born 1150 years ago on the territory of today's Kazakhstan. The second stamp features the image of the founder of the Kazakh national written literature - Abai Kunanbaev. This year marks 175 years since his birth.

"Thanks to these ancient thinkers, the spirit and freedom we carry has given us wisdom so that we can get through the difficulties and move forward," Deputy Minister Atanasova said during the ceremony. According to her, today for the second time we have the opportunity to celebrate the good cooperation and good friendly relations between the two countries with a postage stamp. Andreana Atanasova reminded that in 2012 a joint publication was launched, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The artist of the edition, which was released today, is Todor Angeliev. The ceremony was attended by members of parliament.
